The Soak Scent Experience

How things smell is an important part of how they make us feel.

The Soak Scent Experience

That’s why we spend a lot of time and effort formulating Soak fragrances to make your laundry smell lovely. When you use Soak, not only does doing laundry become more of a pleasure, every time you put on your clean clothes, you get a little aromatherapy. From the citrusy tang of Yuzu to the joyful scent of Celebration, Soak is about feeling wonderful from start to finish.

The gentlest clean

Soak’s ultra-gentle formulation is made with renewable, plant-derived ingredients that are super skin- and fabric-friendly, with no harsh chemicals or strong fragrances – ever. It’s so gentle, in fact, that all of us here at Soak have used it to wash baby clothes.

Soak scents make laundry…uplifting

Things that smell good also have a way of making us feel good. Like that first sniff of freshly-brewed coffee in the morning. The sweet scent of clementines. The crisp fragrance of freshly-laundered linen. Fragrance can evoke the comfort of home or the excitement of new adventure. It can be relaxing, reassuring, even rejuvenating.

Did you know?

→There’s a direct link between smell and memory.

Does the smell of lilac immediately transport you to your grandmother’s garden? Can a cologne-wearing stranger on the street bring back sudden memories of your first love? No surprise there: turns out we remember smells longer than we do sights, sounds, tastes, or even feelings.

→Scent evokes emotion.

The “sweet smell of success” is actually a thing, although it will likely smell different to you than to someone else. Desire, joy, relaxation, a sense of comfort – we all associate a smell with those emotions.

→Our noses can detect 1 trillion distinct scents!

For real. According to a recent study at Rockefeller University, us humans have some pretty sensitive sniffers. (Doggos are still the winners in this department though – their sense of smell is about 40 times better than ours.)

Whether it’s sweet Celebration or citrusy Yuzu, fruity Fig or Scentless for your sensitive side, everyone has their go-to fragrance for showing their laundry some love.

But while you probably have your favourites, why not give your fabrics a whole new fragrance experience with a new-to-you scent? Pick up a bottle of something you haven’t tried before, or take them all for a spin with a 6-pack of assorted travel-sized Soaks or a 48-pack of sample-sized Minisoaks – a great way to land on a new fave.
